London Design Festival 2017: Kaleidoscope Urban: More London 4

More London 4

FromThames Head, in Gloucestershire, to the Thames Estuary, in Essex, London's river spans 215 miles of the country and in its entirety is the longest river in England.  Peaceful and calm it provides those who live in and around London with everything from beautiful sunsets to another way of travelling through the city and a place to touch base with the natural environment.   Kristin M has taken the traquility and calm offered near the water's edge as inspiration for her work for Kaleidoscope Urban.

A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

I have always lived upon, or close to the water. Sweden consists of nearly 10% of water and is mainly surrounded by the sea, so you don't have to travel far to see water of some sort - be it lake, stream, river or sea.

When I moved to England we moved to a small sleepy little village in Berkshire where the Thames runs through. Now living in London, one of the busiest cities in the world, if I want to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life I head to the Thames.
